I lost NaNoWriMo. And frankly, I'm glad. My novel was a hollow idea; one developed protagonist in a town of talking cardboard. None of my other characters were developed, the dialogue was flimsy.
So I shall restart The Assassin's List. I'm happy. I have a lot of new ideas on how to approach the same story, and this time I'm going to be using tips I got from Scott Westerfeld and Justine Larbalestier's blogs. You should google their blogs if you're interested in writing advice!

They're both successful YA fiction novelists.
Right now I'm reading a book called Reading Like a Writer by Francine Prose. I want to reread Liar by Justine Larbalestier. That book is written in scenes rather than chapters and short, choppy sentences. I realize now that that should be the style of The Assassin's List.
Sorry if I don't sound particularly clear right now; my imagination is whirling! But I just wanted to update.

Btw, I had a pretty good Thanksgiving. I love my family! I hope you had a great holiday too, if you celebrate it.
